Pollution investigation & Remediation services

Sustainability is the core value of TVCM. Therefore, the company has been dedicated itself to resolving groundwater contaminated sites by using scientific methods. In May 2010, we established a specialized technical division - Biotechnology R&D Office and Environmental Technology Development Department, recruited R&D specialists and invested in precision equipment to take on the research and development of bioremediation technology, which includes biodegradation of halogenated organic compounds, microbial growth and multiplication, and bio-substrates and nutrients, etc. In February 2022, a 100%-owned subsidiary, Global Green Technology Corporation, was established so that TVCM can provide better soil and groundwater remediation engineering services, and expand our customer base across different industries. We emphasize using locally developed products over imported products, reducing environmental carbon footprint and committed to provide a sustainable environment.

TVCM has integrated technologies for remediation, obtaining four Taiwan patents. Our service covers Taoyuan, Miaoli, Changhua, Tainan, and Kaohsiung. In 2016, the Qianzhen plant of CPDC became the first chlorinated contamination control site in Taiwan to be cleaned up and delisted by the authority. In 2017, the Toufen plant of CGPC became the first chlorinated contamination remediation site in Taiwan to be cleaned up and delisted by the authority. In 2021, the Executive Yuan Environmental Protection Administration issued the first certificate to declare the effectiveness in technology applied in delisting soil and groundwater contamination site to TVCM, recognizing the effort of our remediation technology development.

Remediation services

TVCM provides various types of remediation services, such as soil and groundwater remediation engineering, development and sales of bacteria and remediation agent, molecular biological analysis and environmental pollution inspection, sampling of soil and groundwater, assessments cited in Articles 8 and 9 of Soil and Groundwater Pollution Remediation Act, soil gas and groundwater monitoring for storage tanks, odor control, etc.

We provide conceptual planning service of the site, deliver recommendations and conduct tests based on simulated results to advise on the optimal remediation plan.

We provide screening of microorganisms capable of degrading pollutants at contaminated sites or in specific environments, conduct tests to determine activities and functions for specific bacteria groups, sequencing bacteria genus and strains, studying the optimal growth characteristics, cultivate and replicate them using fermentation technology to produce biosubstrate for site remediation.

The biosubstrate can stimulate local anaerobic organisms to degrade the polluted groundwater, as well as remaining in the groundwater for a long time, which has shown effective results in practical applications. Some indigenous strains and biological substrates have been granted domestic patents.
Molecular biological analysis.
With a professional molecular biology laboratory, providing:
  1. Microbial identification
  2. Identification of microbial species
  3. Identification of specific enzymes
  4. R&D on bacteria
  5. Real-time quantitative bacteria
  6. Bacteria fermentation
  7. Bacteria desiccation, and etc.
Groundwater quality analysis.
With a precise environmental analysis laboratory, providing:
  1. Analysis of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) in groundwater
  2. Remediation-related parameters measure
  3. Analysis of organic carbon and bacteria
  4. Analysis of nutrient concentration
  5. Analysis of inorganic salt, and etc.
Functional well is a temporary monitoring or remediation well set up during environmental surveys or pollution remediations for regular groundwater monitoring, sampling and analysis, and water quality improvement.

Groundwater well inspection is a recording system of the underground image using camera lens, lighting, image storage, and depth recording equipment. It ensures the construction quality, determine the depth of well pipe, the type of material, the position of the well screen, and identify the abnormalities such as fouling, presense of biofilm and blockage. We can determine the foreign object and its location in the well, then unclog it with suitable cleaning to maintain the normal function of the well.
Our team possesses the technique to operate the Membrane Interface Probe System (MIP), which uses a direct push method to advance into the ground. The MIP is heated to a temperature of 121°C by a controller on the ground. It then stimulates, collects and drives volatile organic compounds sample (such as chlorine or oil pollutants, etc.) to cross the semi-permeable film on the surface of the detector. Through the nitrogen gas inside the detector, the sample is transported to a gas chromatography on the surface for analysis, and the continuous data collection and analysis can be compiled to develop a conceptual site model (CSM), whichdepicts the three-dimensional pollution concentration distribution of the site. It is the main technique for carrying out High-Resolution Site Characterization (HRSC).

Professional Technology and Industry-Academia Collaboration

Water resources are important indicators of sustainable human development. Due to the development of economic structure, industrial structure and human activities, groundwater pollution becomes a concern. This is why pollution prevention of groundwater is urgent. At TVCM, we take initiative to enhance our technical skills in pollution remediation, as well as designing suitable quality management projects for soil and groundwater.

To implement the remediation projects, TVCM sets up groundwater well for water quality monitoring. Due of the advanced technology of well drilling and the reinforcement of the management, maintenance, review and sampling technologies of various types of monitoring wells, we are able to effectively apply functional wells to groundwater monitoring and early warning system. By grasping the various trends in groundwater quality, we can achieve the goal of preventing underground pollution.

In addition to continuously improving on local technologies, our team also follow up on foreign sate-of-the-art technologiesby establishing industry-academia collaboration and conducting consultancy projects with experts and scholars for in-depth research. We look forward to doing our best and devote ourselves to the improvement of the environment and prevention of pollution.
